Tips for All-Season Color: Add "Carryover" Plants that Fill the Gaps
CAPE COTTAGE GARDEN
A Celebration of Beauty
Welcome to Cape Cottage Garden
Cape Cottage Garden is a private garden in central New Jersey. Since I broke ground in 2016, the formerly uncultivated one and a half acre garden has become a flower-filled place that inches closer each year to becoming the romantic, English-style garden I envisioned. I especially love how the garden looks throughout the spring when the beds are dotted with tulips and arbors are loaded with clematis blooms.
Aside from some help I get from our lawn people to trim the odd hedge, edge the beds and add mulch yearly, I do all the garden design and plant care myself.
I believe that in life you should set out your china, put flowers on the table, turn the music on and create the most beautiful surroundings you can. This garden embodies that spirit of celebrating and cultivating beauty.
