Ready to Enjoy Spring? You're Invited to Visit the Tulip Garden on April 29th, 2023

Last year, I opened my central New Jersey tulip garden to friends and neighbors for the first time. I tossed out an email or two and had no idea how many people would show up. Well, I was bowled over to find out that over 60 people arrived, some of whom had driven for over an hour to see the tulips. Several months later, I ran into one of the attendees, a mother of a friend of mine, in town one day She stopped to tell me that even then - many months later - she looked at her pictures of my garden nearly every single day. I certainly adore strolling around my spring garden, but up until that point, I hadn't fully realized how much joy the garden brings others. So, to share the joy, I've decided to open my garden again this year to the public for one day only this year on Saturday, April 29th from 10 am to 2 pm. Cape Cottage garden has over 4,000 tulips and several thousand daffodils that burst into bloom starting in late April. To me, walking through the garden in spring is a bit like being immersed inside a pastel Monet painting. The experience stirs my soul all year long. I hope it does the same for you.

To manage the logistics for your visit, I've partnered with a 35-year-old organization called the Garden Conservancy which enables the public to visit over 270 private gardens each year. Advance registration is required through their website. I believe they charge a small fee. You can find more details here.

I hope to see you soon!

Heather
